Woman found dead after fire

McNairy County resident Glenda Matlock Tull, 56, died Monday, according to McNairy County Sheriff Guy Buck.

Her body was discovered at her home at 1106 Brumley Road in Bethel Springs, following a fire at the house.

The initial E-911 call was made at 3:06 p.m. by her husband, Anthony Tull, according to the sheriff. The specific cause of her death was not released.

“Her body has been sent to Memphis for an autopsy,” Buck said Tuesday morning in a telephone interview as he was on his way back to the scene.

The sheriff’s department requested assistance in the investigation of the death and fire from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Tennessee Bomb and Arson Investigation Unit, according to Buck.

No charges have been filed in the case, the sheriff said. Buck was not able to comment any further on the details of the case.
