Three for the Money
By Andrew Alexander
Steve Prefontaine, the greatest collegiate distance runner of all time who died tragically in a car accident at the age of 24, once said, “To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.”
For several McNairy County residents, the gift happens to emerge from an unfortunate disposition bestowed upon a man of great faith, but he and several others are doing their best to make every single day a day lived purposefully and to the fullest.
Twenty-two-year-old Alaina Hartle, 28-year-old Abigail Hobbs, and 46-year-old Cathy Willcutts of Rose Creek Village have banded together to give their best to support a friend while raising funds for a foundation that gives its best to save lives by running a half marathon and collecting donations for their efforts.
