Selmer 9- and 10-year-old All-stars are advancing to the state tournament after going undefeated at the district tournament held in Lexington. Selmer beat Savannah on Thursday and against Adamsville on Friday night. On Saturday they defeated Lexington for the championship. The team and its coaches also earned the Sportsmanship Award for the tournament. They will be competing at the state tournament held in Mt. Pleasant that begins on July 29. The team will be working to raise money through various fundraisers over the next two weeks. Any help will be appreciated.
