A public hearing will be held for the purpose of informing the citizens of the 2012 CDBG project that has been completed by the City of Selmer to purchase new pumper/tankers and gener­ators. The City submitted an application to the State of Tennes­see, Department of Economic and Community Development for the funds to complete the 2012 CDBG project. This public hear­ing will inform the citizens regarding the program guidelines, the amount of funds used for the project, the type of project, and the benefit received by the community. Selmer's governing body is seeking comments from the public. All area citizens are encouraged to attend. Selmer City Hall is accessible to persons with disabilities. Persons with special needs who wish to attend should contact City Hall to make any necessary arrangements which may be needed prior to the time and date of the meeting indicated above.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
March 7-12, 2016
Effective October 1, 2012, a child must be (5) years of age on or before August 15, for the 2016-2017 school year and on or before August 15, for all school years thereafter, to enter kindergarten.
In order for a child to enter school in August of 2016, the par­ents must carry the following information to the school:
1. A certified copy of the birth certificate of the child
2. A copy of the child's immunization record supplied by the
Health Department
3. A copy of a physical examination for the child
4. The child's social security number
5. Two proofs of Residence
6. Any custodial documentation pertinent to the child
Children may be registered during the week of March 7 with­out the information listed above; however, they will not be ad­mitted to school until all registration documents have been submitted.
Children who participate in a LEA-administered Pre-Kinder­garten program during the 2015-2016 school years may enter Kindergarten in the 2016-2017 school years respectively.
No child shall be eligible to enter the first grade without hav­ing attended an approval Kindergarten program meeting the requirements outlined by the Tennessee State Board of Educa­tion and the Tennessee Department of Education.

• Length of school day is 8:15 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
• Students not eligible to attend the Project Enrich after school
program
• Family income is used to determine eligibility.
