Perseverance key in Cards’ win over Tigers

Coming off a record setting offensive performance the week before, the Adamsville Cardinals made history again last Friday by beating Hardin County 17-14, marking the first time in the school’s history that its football team defeated both its rivals, Hardin County and McNairy Central, in the same season.

“It was a big victory for us,” said Cardinal Head Coach Brandon Gray, “and I believe everyone got their money’s worth.”

When asked what it meant to defeat both rivals in the same season, Gray told the Independent Appeal, “I guess it means we have a pretty good ball team.”
