New Selmer photography business opens

Local leaders and friends and family of Unique Reflections gather for the ribbon-cutting in Selmer Friday.

Photography is Ashley Bauman’s passion.

She will now be practicing it at her new business, Unique Reflections.

The photography business held its ribbon-cutting ceremony Friday in Selmer and has been open for about a month, according to Bauman.

Bauman has lived in the area all of her life and has been a photographer for about five years. She graduated from Gateway Christian School in 2001.

Bauman found the building when she was talking to Alice Hawkins, owner of a business next door.

“God led me here. I know because I didn’t plan on opening my own business or finding this building,” she said.

Bauman specializes in infants and children, weddings, family portraits and senior photos.

“I know some really great places to make outdoor pictures while the weather is nice,” she says, “but if indoor pictures are more your style I can do that at my studio.”

Unique Reflections is located at 229 S. 4th St. in Selmer.
