McNairy NAACP holds freedom fund banquet

The McNairy County NAACP held their annual Freedom Fund Banquet last Friday night at the McNairy County Alumni Center. Chuck O’Bannon, film producer, was invited as the evening’s guest speaker.
This year’s event was well attended and was held as a fundraiser for the NAACP to help fund their ongoing mission. The theme of the evening was coming together in unity and was stressed throughout the night by both the guest speaker, O’Bannon and the local McNairy County Branch President, Will Luster Jr.
“This event is about coming together in unity,” Luster said. The funds raised will help to get the message out to the community.”
