McNairy County Health Care Center: Classy Lady
By DOROTHY GOODRUM
Today I was reminded what it means to have class. Ms. Rosemary Landreth is without a doubt a truly classy lady in every way. She is so kind and compassionate, very attractive and always dressed in a fashion that could model for Vogue. Every week she tells me how much she enjoys the articles in the paper and how much they mean to her. What an encouragement to me!
I have also watched as she talks to the other residents. She mentors them and encourages them as they adjust to their new home. If a facility had a cheerleader, ours would be Ms. Rosie as she is so fondly called by the staff and residents. If we had a public relations office at McNairy County Health Care Center, Ms. Rosemary would work there. I cannot tell you how many ways she touches lives, including mine.
Ms. Rosemary plays cards with her friends and is also an avid reader. Since I also love to read, we share books. She tells me what books she enjoys and we share our love for certain authors. However we both agree our favorite author wrote the Holy Bible, a book we both love to read.
When I can no longer live at home, I hope I can accept it like Ms. Rosemary or Ms. Lucille McCormick or so many of our other residents that make every day count. Until then, I want to make today count so if I can offer encouragement or in some way brighten the day for someone, my day is complete. After all, blessing other’s lives makes our life count. So what can I help you with today?
Until next time.....
