MARTIN, Tenn. – June 24, 2011 – West Tennessee high school marching band members attended an interactive learning event on June 21, at the University of Tennessee at Martin Hardy Graham Stadium, presented by Drum Corps International Champions, The Cavaliers, and sponsored by the UT Martin Department of Music. The workshop covered percussion, brass and color guard performance and preceded an evening performance by the Drum Corps International 2011 Summer Tour Event, DCI Sounds of Summer. Attending from McNairy Central High School were, from left to right, Courtney Mayatte, Khaila Lynum, Rachel Pittman, McNairy Central graduate and member of the Skyhawk Marching Band, and Reed Chesier.
