After two forfeited games from Jackson Central Merry, the McNairy Central Lady Bobcats suspected forfeits from Fayette Ware in the scheduled double-header, just as the team did last year.

Instead the Lady Wildcats showed up almost two hours late for their scheduled game on Tuesday, April 19, with transportation problems.

In the first game, McNairy won 9-0 with only three innings played.

Kelcey Amerson pitched, leaving Fayette Ware to zero runs. Kelly Moore, Madison Jobe, Destiny Wilson, and Allison Dillon had one hit each and Addison King hit a double.

The second match made it as far as the second inning with a final of 12-1.

Makayla Holley was 3 for 3. Morgan Williams, King, and Brown each had one hit. Dillon hit an in-the-park homerun. Chelsea Bodiford hit two doubles. Brown was the winning pitcher.

On Thursday, Amerson pitched another game against the Hardin County Lady Tigers and held them to zero runs. The final was 6-0.

Brown, Robin Matlock, and Jacey Whirley had one hit each. Courtney Robinson and Amerson had two hits each.

In other action, the Lexington Lady Tigers, one of McNairy’s greatest district contenders, forced a win against the Lady Bobcats on Friday, 12-2.

Brown was on the mound and had two hits. Amerson had one hit.

The Lady Cats end the week at 16-9 (8-3 district).
