Though their season was not a success by the win-loss standard, the Adamsville Junior High Lady Cardinals grew as softball team in the program's first season.

The Lady Cards wrapped up their season last Monday with a road double-header against Chester County. The Lady Eagles took both contests, sticking Adamsville with an 0-6 on the year.

Chester County won the first game 9-0. Kaci Gladish pitched all four innings for AJHS, struck out two, walked four and gave up four hits. Gracie Hutton had Adamsville's only hit in the game.

The Lady Cards put back-to-back scoring innings together late in the second game but still fell 10-3. Makenna Harwell got the start, and Kayla Baldwyn relieved her in the third inning. Baldwyn, Brittany Clausel, and Danea Grisham each batted in a run.

Adamsville's junior high softball players are eligible to dress on the high school's varsity and junior varsity teams. This is a luxury the Lady Cardinal softball program will enjoy as it presents the opportunity to develop the skills of their younger players for years to come.
