King Highway Dedication

Larron King’s family poses for a picture at the dedication of the Larron King Highway near Selmer last Monday. The Larron King Highway is located near the intersection of Highway 45 and Rose Creek Road. County Mayor Ronnie Brooks called this a very special day and long overdue. Also present were Selmer Mayor John Smith, Sheriff Guy Buck, General Sessions Judge Van McMahan, Circuit Court Clerk Byron Maxedon, Road Commissioner Harvey Neal Smith, school board member and candidate for County Mayor Larry Smith, Road Commissioner candidate Sammy Hill, former County Mayor and Executive Director of the Southwest Human Resources Agency, Mike Smith, King’s family and friends. King died in May 2012 due to injuries sustained in an auto accident a month earlier. King is well known throughout much of West Tennessee for the years of work he and his family members have contributed to the Memphis Ronald McDonald House through Lauren King Ministries.
