The Independent Appeal welcomes your opinion.  Letters to the editor are subject to editing or omission for length, style or libel. All letters must include the writer's name and signature, as well as a phone number and address for verification.

The Independent Appeal does not publish anonymous letters. Letters deemed suitable for publication will run as soon as possible after receipt on a space-available basis.
