Gladys Laura Phillips Palmer Gill, 87, homemaker and member of Fourth Street Church of Christ in Selmer, TN, passed away in Mountain Home, AR May 27th, 2011.
She was born in Round Pond, AR to the late Allen Mae & Mary Jane (Moon) Phillips on October 4, 1923.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Thomas Palmer and her second husband, Edward Gill, one daughter, Saundra Jean Palmer Walls; two brothers, Cecil Odell Phillips and James Odis Phillips; two sisters, Ruthie Mae Cothern and Orah Pearl Bizzell Willcutt
She is survived by her three daughters, Linda Kay Kitchell (Les) of Gassville, AR, Beverly Ann Sexton (Rodger) of Bryon, GA, Jane Ellen Pippin (Vince) of Olive Branch, MS; Son-in-law, L. T. Walls of Pocahontas, TN; one sister, Mary Helen Hobbs of Forrest City, AR and her niece, Donna Faye Tarbutton of Forrest City, AR who was raised as her sister, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, May 30, 2011 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home and services 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 31, 2011 in the Funeral Home Chapel with interment following the services at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, AR.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, James Thomas Johnson, John Elton Walls, David Wayne Henry, Michael Shane Sexton, Vincent Jason Pippin and Justin Bryan Pippin.
Service will be conducted by Brother Randy Mead former Minister of Fourth Street Church of Christ in Selmer, TN.
