An early afternoon fire destroyed a Guys residence last Wednesday. The incident at 679 Gay Thompson Road in Guys was reported shortly after noon when neighbors called to report that the home was in flames. 

Units from the Guys, Eastview and Chewalla fire departments responded to the call.
