Eastview recordings may be Carl Perkins’ first ever.

The earliest recordings of Carl Perkins are believed to have been made in Eastview, according to Arts in McNairy Heritage and Culture Committee Chair Dr. Shawn Pitts.
“It’s an absolute treasure. We’re just tickled pink. It’s important for our heritage,” Pitts said.
