A pair of Selmer Dixie Youth players recently attended the 27th Annual Corinth Area Baseball Camp. Eli Holcombe and Reeder Chambers were part of 67 youngsters at the week-long camp at Jesse Bynum Field. Former Corinth High School baseball coach John Smillie has coordinated the camp all 27 years. Baseball fundamentals in hitting, running, and throwing were stressed at the event. Campers were taught the correct way to slide on Thursday with everyone getting a chance to slide feet first and then head first. Those attending the camp also received a t-shirt and evaluation for the week.
