Congratulations to Chloe Mullins of Adamsville High School for being selected for a second place award in the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Xi State High School Essay Contest. The purpose of the contest is to encourage, to recognize, and to reward Tennessee high school students who demonstrate outstanding writing skills. This year’s topic for the essay was the following quote by George Washington Carver: “Education is the key to unlocking the golden door of freedom”. Chloe’s teacher is Kelly Wilder, and the Gamma Eta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, whose members are key women educators, was the local sponsor. Chloe received a certificate and check for $200.00 from Xi State.
