On Wednesday, July 27, West Tennessee Healthcare’s Incredible Heart Team will host a Zumbathon. Zumba is described as a Latin-inspired dance-fitness program. The program motto is, “Ditch the Workout. Join the Party.” The Zumbathon will take place in the Jackson State Community College gymnasium at 2046 North Parkway with instructors Hope Graves and Carrie Branch. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. and last approximately an hour. The cost is $5, and all proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association. Additional donations will be accepted. Grade Parent Meeting

•An Evening of Bluegrass
The Purdy Community Center will have an evening of Bluegrass Gospel Music featuring “CrossWinds”. The time is 6:30 p.m. July 30. No Admittance charge. Concessions are available on site. •Hurley Town...Lost in
Descendants of old Hurley Town and the public are invited to attend a dedication and unveiling of road signs on Saturday, July 30th at 10:00 a.m. at Hwy 142 and Hwy 22, Shiloh Park area. The old town was a self-sufficient community from mid-1800’s to 1948 with stores, grist mill, cotton gin, etc. The town is the origination of most of the Hurley family and descendants. McNairy County Democrat Women will meet at the headquarters on Mon., Aug. 1st at 6:30 p.m. Ronnie Brooks will be our speaker. A fundraiser yard sale is planned for the following Saturday & ladies you can bring your donated items on Monday night or later that week. Funds go back into the scholarship account for next year. Bring a friend & some finger foods & we will share in democratic fun together.
