•Republican Women Meet

McNairy County Republican women will meet at Mulberry Manor (formerly Kay’s) at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011. TFRW State Convention, which will be held at Pickwick Landing State Park on October 21-23, 2011, will be discussed as well as upcoming events in McNairy County. Everyone is invited.

Join us for a BBQ plate lunch at Eastside Church of Christ, Friday, June 17 from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. - price per plate $10 (includes sandwich, slaw, beans, drink & dessert. To purchase tickets call 646-3627.

•W. W. and Susie Scott Reunion

Reunion will be Saturday, June 18th at the Adamsville Senior Citizens Building from 10:00 until. Lunch at 12:00. Everyone welcome.

 

•Leapwood Fire Department Fish Fry

Leapwood Fire Department will have a fish fry June 18th at 5:00 at the Leapwood Community Center. Cost is adults $10 and children $5. All you can eat fish, chicken, fries, slaw, white beans, and dessert. Cake walk to follow. Please come and support the Leapwood Fire Dept.

 

•McNairy County Alumni Association Meeting

The McNairy County Alumni will meet at 500 Lipford Road in Selmer, TN on Saturday, June 18th at 11:00 a.m. It is very important for all to attend so that we may nominate members for new officers.

 

•Henry Family Reunion

Henry Family reunion at McNairy Firehouse 12:00 June 18th. Everyone welcome. For more information call 645-4297.

 

•Clay Wagoner Bluegrass

Clay Wagoner Memorial Bluegrass show Saturday, June 18 at 6 p.m. at “The Marty” in Adamsville. Performers are Willie Eubanks & Crossroads Bluegrass, Bill Wagoner & Flatwoods Bluegrass & others. Donation taken for expenses & concessions available.

 

•Irish Ceili Dance

Pat’s Cafe and the Village Coffee House invite you out to an Irish Ceili Dance! Celebrate Father’s day weekend and come on out for an evening of family fun and excitement. Learn Irish style dances to live music. 7 p.m.- Saturday, June 18th on the street outside of Pat’s cafe. Please step inside both the cafe and the coffee house for food and refreshments.

•Owl Prowl Program At Shiloh Battlefield

Program by D. James Huggins, Biology professor Union University will begin at Shiloh Visitor Center auditorium at 7 p.m. See a live owl. Please arrive 10 minutes early. Free. Contact Visitor Center at 731-689-5275 or email Marcus_Johnson@nps.gov.

McNairy County Health Department Conference Room. Friday, June 24, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend this nutrition class! There will be snacks, free gifts and fun for all.

•Benefit for Jimbo and Lori Naylor Family

For medical expenses - They are going to Arizona in July due to illness. Saturday June 25th beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Chewalla Fire Department. •Isbell Family Reunion

The annual Isbell Family Reunion will be held June 25, 2011 at The Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Fellowship Hall starting at 9:30 a.m. All relatives of Thomas Dillard Isbell, Jr. and his two wives, Frances Holyfield Isbell and Sarah Harley Isbell are invited. Friends & neighbors are welcome. Bring a dish to share at noon for lunch. Bring pictures, stories, grandchildren, etc. Plan to stay all day. For information call Patsye at 645-8844 or 645-7016.

•Hendrix Reunion

Descendants of Richard Ivy Hendrix, Sr. will be having their annual family reunion on the 25th of June. It will be at the center on north Fifth St., Selmer. Bring a dish for a pot luck meal at noon, genealogy, old pictures or anything you would like to share.
