Bobcats, Redbirds play in rain - shortened tournament in Henderson

The Adamsville Redbirds and Danny Roberts York Heating and Air Bobcats both got in some action in baseball tournament play in Henderson last week before the weather washed things out for the most part.

The Redbirds fought to a 1-1 tie with Liberty on Thursday night before the rains came and shut things down for the evening.

Wesley Stricklin pitched well for Adamsville.

The Bobcats fell to Jackson South Side 6-2 Thursday evening.

B.J. Dickey started on the mound and went three innings. Tyler Wells and Parker Adams also pitched in the contest.

The Redbirds fell to TCA by a 6-2 tally on Saturday.

Jalen Kendall and Montell Johnson each pitched for Adamsville.

Both squads will close out their summer play competing in a wooden bat tournament at Jackson South Side this weekend.
