Bobcats finish pool play 3-0, suffer another championship loss to Eagles

The Bobcats (18-7-1) may have been disappointed after losing to Chester County last Saturday, but they had no reason to hang their heads after a great run in the 28th Annual Independent Appeal Baseball Spectacular.
The Chester County Eagles came to McNairy County with every intention of defending their crown. The 2011 tournament champions did just that, defeating the Bobcats in the title game for the second consecutive year.
“They put us out of district last year, they beat us at their place earlier this year, and they beat us in the tournament championship last year,” Bobcat head coach Brian Franks said about Chester County after the loss. “We’ve just gotta find a way to hang on and beat those guys.”
