The Floyd family 65th Annual Celebration reunion was held July 23, 2011 “Let’s Move for Love” at the Bethel Springs Community Center in Bethel Springs. Started at 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. Plenty of food was served barbecue and all the trimmings. Elders spot light-Lessie Stokes and James Robinson. Family history and memorial celebration games was played. Health screenings were sponsored by McNairy Regional Hospital under the direction of Mrs. Polyanna Justice. Braggin Rights Tournament prizes was given. Music played by DJ Allen Jackson of Las Vegas, NV. Family & friends from all across the states was here to enjoy the day & remembering the past and plan for the future. A departure ceremony was held before adjourning to leave for the different homes. May God bless the family as they travel. If the Lord will, we will return next year at the same time.
Lillie Marie Bankhead & daughter Edna from Chicago, IL spent the week in Bethel Springs leaving on Sunday, July 31. Enjoyed the fellowship. Paulette Floyd & nieces of Nashville, TN came down to visit Marie on Wednesday.
After spending a week here Lessie Stokes returned home. Accompanying her were her children of Indianapolis, IN.
Eugene Williams & Shirley attended the homegoing service of Eloise Jane Moore in Camden, TN on Saturday. A cousin of Shirley Williams. Funeral service was held at Oakdale Funeral Home, Camden, TN, interment Moore’s Chapel Cemetery, Holiday, TN.
Garland Johnson of Selmer drove through Bethel Saturday sightseeing.
Remember the sick & shut in in your prayers & the elders in this hot weather.
