The Adamsville High School class of 1956 held their 55th year reunion on July 2, 2011. The day was spent visiting with old friends, renewing old friendships, and “remembering when” at The Marty. There were 22 classmates in attendance along with 8 guests and 11 spouses. Fifteen of our classmates are deceased and we were fortunate to have five members of the family of Don Browder who passed away this past year. Bobby Joe Killingsworth presented entertainment by singing songs from the 1956 era. It was great fun to hear the old songs with comments of “it’s a shame our young people do not have good music like that today”. The singing was concluded with Bobby and Eugene Case leading the class in singing our class song, Moments to Remember, which also brought back lots of memories of our school days. The Country Butcher Shop catered a barbecue dinner and the day ended with the class deciding that they will try to get together every year.
