Documented by the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association’s girls’ basketball records, Coach Jerry Lott of the McNairy Central Lady Bobcats has broken a record, tying for ninth spot in Most Coaching Victories in a Career. Lott has coached since 1977 winning 699 games and soon looks to accomplish a whopping 700. Tied at 699 along with Coach Lott is Larry Lopper from Livingston Academy, who has coached since 1972, which is five additional years compared to Lott. The overall record breaking statistics include 699 wins and 289 losses. In top ranked position is Jim Smiddy of Bradley Central and he has been coaching since 1948 with a record of 1217-206.
